Checkweigher Maintenance Guidelines

  • Make sure all mechanical and electrical interlocks are functional and operational. (See operator/installation manual for details.)
  • Check for proper belt tension and alignment.
  • Clean product accumulation, dust, etc. from conveyor and scale on a regular basis.
  • Check bearings for lubrication per schedule listed in manual.
  • Perform a scale calibration and corner test periodically using proper test weight to ensure all areas of the scale show the same amount of weight.
  • Ensure that the checkweigher does not become overloaded with more than one item to weigh at a time.
