Checkweigher Maintenance Guidelines

Make sure all mechanical and electrical interlocks are functional and operational. (See operator/installation manual for details.)
Check for proper belt tension and alignment.
Clean product accumulation, dust, etc. from conveyor and scale on a regular basis.
Check bearings for lubrication per schedule listed in manual.
Perform a scale calibration and corner test periodically using proper test weight to ensure all areas of the scale show the same amount of weight.
Ensure that the checkweigher does not become overloaded with more than one item to weigh at a time.
