Thompson Scale offers the Eriez E-Z Tec® DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Metal Detector for use with any Thompson Scale checkweigher. Depending upon the application, the detector can be integrated into the conveyors of our TSC 350 and Sonic 350 Small Package Checkweighers or provided on its own conveyor, placed directly up-stream of the checkweigher weigh station. Metal detector apertures are based upon maximum product size and are quoted per application.

Eriez highly recommends installing a Constant Voltage Transformer within three feet of the metal detector, such as Sola’s MCR series, to provide noise immunity to the detector. Thompson Scale offers this transformer, housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, pre-mounted and wired to the detector.
