Exxon Installs Filler Upgrade from TSC May 15, 1994
The Exxon Chemical Company Resins Finishing Plant in Baton Rouge, LA., produces large volumes of hydrocarbon resins, which are used as adhesives ingredients. Their fillers lacked the required fill-weight accuracy because they couldn’t compensate for changes in product density and flow characteristics. The fillers’ moving parts were also susceptible to maintenance problems from resin dust buildup. Thompson Scale upgraded their filling machinery, improving the quality of their bagged product while allowing them to operate with minimal maintenance and consistent records of accurate performance.
