4693 Hydraulic Lift Checkweighers
The 4693 Hydraulic Lift Checkweigher is ideal for production facilities that produce heavy or bulky items
and use conveyor systems that change heights, especially open-mouth net weigh fillers. This checkweigher is
designed for industrial and institutional packaging applications, with weight ranges from 1 lb to 400 lbs.
Weigh station conveyors range from 28" long up to 5' long, run at speeds up to 220 feet per minute, and
production rates in excess of 50 units per minute are considered "standard."
Many production facilities produce bags or containers that are different heights, prompting them to adjust
the height of their conveyor systems. The 4693 HL Checkweigher features a newly developed hydraulic
lifting and lowering system that allows the entire unit to move up and down to adjust to varying conveyor
heights. Normally, a standard checkweigher has to be placed much further down the production line where
the height is constant. This unique checkweigher can be placed just after the filling station, allowing
operators to react much quicker to off-spec fills.
The 4693 HL Checkweigher can be automatically adjusted to the desired height at the push of a button. Its legs can be easily extended or retracted by an overall twelve inches to match surrounding conveyors. The flexibility that it offers can have a very positive impact on a factory's quality control.
This checkweigher is a simple, easy to use, rugged, yet highly accurate production scale. Although the 4693 HL Checkweigher is specifically designed for harsh, abusive, dirty environments commonly found in the cement, concrete, soil, and bark industries; it remains extremely accurate and dependable. Users in the chemical, starch, flour, and salt industries can also rely on this checkweigher for their quality control by weight.
Designed for large and heavy products, this checkweigher weighs products of virtually any shape or size. Items compatible with the 4693 HL include anything from pails of paint, to boxes and cartons, to bagged product conveyed up on end. A wide variety of weigh station conveyors are available to meet the specific needs of each application.
The optional Statistical Process Reporting (STPR) package prints unit weights and reports on standard size paper for analysis. Also available is our StatPak-PC software package that collects and saves data to a database and is able to print out reports to a customer's requirements.

Early Weight Terminate
The standard Thompson checkweigher requires the head of the package to exit the weigh station conveyor before the current weighment cycle is terminated. In cases where this is not acceptable, a photo-eye input is available to terminate the weight cycle early. The photo-eye is placed about 3" from the exit of the weigh station and allows the checkweigher controller to classify the package before it begins to leave the weigh station.
